with this ring, I thee wed
Man and wife.
They are at last man and wife, he hers and she his -- the Lord and Lady Percy.
It has been quite a day.
When the festivities are finally done, they have burned a great many candles, eaten a great deal of food, danced many a dance. Elizabeth is the one who finally takes Harry's hand, covering a yawn, and tugs him towards the door of the hall. The remaining guests raise a cheer and a cup as the couple head upstairs to their rooms.
Kate leans on Harry as they ascend the stairs, loose-limbed and smiling from exhaustion.

"The stars," she says, and kisses him again.
no subject
Less difficult than waiting, anyway. His hand is starting to play over her inner thigh.
no subject
Her breath hitches, just barely, and she laughs herself.
"Harry, my lord, thou'rt far from perfect in dissembling." She swallows, then kisses his cheek. "But perfect in patience, I wot. I know well enough there is more to go -- then let's go to't, and with a good will."
no subject
Better to tease and kiss than speak, what with the state they're both in.
Harry tries to be mindful guiding himself in. Better to kiss, and before they both know it--

Kate can't help it: she tenses up as he starts to enter her. It isn't exactly painful, not like she was expecting, but it's -- very strange.
She bites her lip and grips his shoulders.
no subject
"Ah—breathe, breathe, Kate."
He runs his palm up and down her thigh, her hip, her side. "Don't think on it, just let go."
no subject
She swallows again, sighs, and moves one hand to his cheek.
"All's well -- all's well."
This may be as much to reassure herself as him.
no subject
"So it is."
And with a shift of his hips, a steady push...
"How is that?"
no subject
"'Tis well."
Still not exactly what she'd call comfortable, but she doesn't need him to stop.

And because actions speak louder than words, he punctuates that with an experimental little roll.

Her hand slides up from his cheek to tangle in his hair, as if to keep her anchored.
no subject
Maybe some repetition?

Her breath comes in gasps, surprised but certainly not displeased. And he's right: it does get easier, slowly but surely. She starts to loosen her grip on his hair and shoulder -- and there, there's a moan.
no subject
He slows down, draws it out at the crest of the roll -- and much to his own surprise, is moaning himself.
A good spot, apparently.
no subject
So much for loosening her grip. At least now it's because she wants him closer.
no subject
Their noses are nearly touching when he laughs and threads his fingers through her hair. "And you wanted to sleep."
no subject
"But I was younger then, love -- ah -- you must forgive me my folly."
no subject
"...God's me, I'll forgive anything, my lady!"

Don't mind that goofy grin he's wearing, he'll just be over here, kissing along her neck and seeing what happens if he speeds up a little.
no subject
Her dignity is beyond reproach!
She winces a little at the first change of speed, but relaxes as she exhales. His lips on her neck help a great deal.
no subject
His hand is wandering too, along the dip at her side and over toward the small of her back.
no subject
"Oh, love."
