with this ring, I thee wed
Man and wife.
They are at last man and wife, he hers and she his -- the Lord and Lady Percy.
It has been quite a day.
When the festivities are finally done, they have burned a great many candles, eaten a great deal of food, danced many a dance. Elizabeth is the one who finally takes Harry's hand, covering a yawn, and tugs him towards the door of the hall. The remaining guests raise a cheer and a cup as the couple head upstairs to their rooms.
Kate leans on Harry as they ascend the stairs, loose-limbed and smiling from exhaustion.

"Ah -- Kate -- by God, love--"
He can't be held responsible for anything he says, or possibly does, so close as he is.

Except, you know, herself?

Kate, don't be too shocked, but your lord husband is vocal when he comes. Very vocal.
And so, so happy.

Her breath catches as he comes; she can feel him inside her, feel him coming apart in her arms in a glorious way.

It's lovely, this moment, catching his breath and close as two people can be. If they can just stay here, just like this, not even separated yet...

"My lord?"
no subject
"Yes, my lady?"
no subject
"Art well?"
no subject
Will a kiss do? He'd really like to kiss her right now.

She hugs him closer, chuckling, and kisses him back.

His other hand he rubs slowly, lazily, up and down her thigh.

A little sore, and a little -- tight, like twisted cloth waiting to be released.
no subject
"But?"
no subject
"But what?" She loosens her grip on him and strokes his cheek. "If thou art well, and I am well, then all the world is well, and let there be no alteration."

"Thou'rt a credit to thy name."
no subject
"I must have more care, now that thou'st taken it."
True enough; but for all that, he also may take leave of the world with her as often as they both like. Which means more kissing, and more conversation, and tonight -- more than tonight -- little enough sleep to come.
